Foam rolling sometimes leaves me ashy 😅 But, aside from that the benefits are fantastic & it's not utilized/discussed often enough!
Myofascial release via a foam roller loosens the knots in the fascia (connective tissue beneath the skin that separates muscles) which enables better mobility.
⭐Loosen before you stretch a cold muscle. As discussed in another recent post: Your fascia is like pizza dough--most responsive/effective when warmed. Would you try & stretch rigid dough? Nope. 🚫🍕
And since MANY of us have tight hips as a result from sitting for long periods of time..[[I also balance an office job 🙋🏾♀️ and while I opt to stand most of the time, sometimes it can't be avoided]]
This technique is a grand help.
